As the owner and general manager of Gartlandsborg, I consider it both a privilege and a responsibility to preserve this remarkable place—with deep respect for the history of the surrounding area and, above all, for our historic lodge.

My experience as a salmon angler has given me a close connection to the River Namsen and its traditions. It is a connection I am proud to share with everyone who visits us. My greatest wish is for our guests to leave Gartlandsborg with memories that will last a lifetime: the warmth and atmosphere of the lodge, peaceful hours spent rowing on the River Namsen—and, of course, that unforgettable moment when the salmon finally takes the fly.

For me, hosting is something deeply personal. I want to be as present and available to our guests as possible—not only as their host, but also as someone who knows the river, its history and its hidden places. And whenever needed, I will be there as a guide and boatman, helping each guest experience the very best that Gartlandsborg and the River Namsen have to offer.
